Things you will need:
- Two clean bowls.
- Mr. Clean or jewelry cleaner.
- One used toothbrush.
- Warm water.
- Paper towel.
We use half Mr. Clean and half warm water to make the cleaning solution.
You can also purchase commercial jewelry cleaners from a jeweler.
2. Soak Jewelry
Put the jewelry in the solution and soak for several minutes. A little bite longer if the jewelry is very dirty.
3. Restore the sparkle
Spray a soft-bristled toothbrush with the solution above and gently brush the jewelry thoroughly, removing any dirt on the surface of the jewelry. Be sure to avoid brushes with hard or stiff bristles, as these can scratch the setting.
4.Rinse the item in warm water
5. Dry with paper towel.
Please NOTE PEARLS can not be cleaned in this way
Pearls and other similar soft gems are much softer than other gemstones and more vulnerable to acids, alkaline, and extreme humidity levels. You can use soft cloth to wipe your pearl jewelry gently for the cleaning.
